Saw this video a few days ago and it blew me away. What a great player.

Isn't that kind of "the jazz scene in a nutshell". She's playing like a genius in a room full of people and about 2 people seem to even notice.

I disagree. The originator, John Coltrane, was brilliant. There's thousands that can do this, but there's only one Coltrane.

She's tearing down from a wedding gig...
I know. Still, noone really notices. I doubt she was playing that sort of stuff through the gig. I may be wrong..

Melissa is a wonderful player. She was great 5 years ago. She's working around NYC and studying with George Coleman and trying to get better. Seems like a good way to go.

Wow she has everything her dad by the way is an amazing musician himself a legend in his country and I am sure he inspired her

Absolutely. Mellisa is a gifted sax player, one of the new great generation in Chile. At her age, she have a very glorious future in the world jazz scene, and of course, is a pride for our small country. She is the culmination of a family of famous sax players including her father and grandfather.
