Necks are fun - its like playing a different horn or mouthpiece sometimes, and having a sax that came with three necks from the manufacturer would be very cool. But they are like everything else - one way one night and the other way another night, so it can take a long time to settle on one.

If it’s anything like the sandblast models, they didn’t put lacquer on the early ones but the later ones had it.

There was no lacquer on the silver plated areas of my Goldbrass model, though the rest of the horn was lacquered. I know this because I had to polish the silver areas a few times while I owned it.
