Now that I've got an Android based phone, I'm looking for a media player that will do the "play a track once and stop" thing. This is good for practicing with backing tracks.

I don't want to to do the kludge of creating a playlist for every song (ala iPhone).

Any ideas? So far the default and WinAmp don't do it.

Try Music Folder Player Free version. It uses folders to keep track of mp3 files. I hate playlists and tend to organize my music in folder instead. This works fine. Just create a folder for practicing, and drop whatever track you want in it. It'll play it once and that's it.

Hey, thanks for looking folks. I found MortPlayer. It actually has a "stop after song" play mode. It is also folder based and can do gestures for volume control. I'll give it a go...
