This YT clip was linked in another thread by Albavax about the mouthpiece being for sale http://forum.saxontheweb.net/showthread.php?170369-FS-Otto-Link-Tone-Edge-quot-Early-Babbitt-quot-10*-tenor-mouthpiece

I'm not looking for a mouthpiece, but out of curiousity checked out the clip. Small club, packed, totally digging it!!!

I wasn't familiar with Mr. Ionata's playing, but man he's sure taking care of business on Rollins Pent Up House in the clip. Terrific bop playing, reminded me a little of Sonny Stitt or Chicagoan Johnny Griffin...great sound, very melodic, fluid, and clean. Maybe Lovanoish at times in some of the altissomo playing...

I'll have to do some more research on this guy, really enjoyed his "bop till you drop" playing...yeah man!

Guess my favorite of those is actually the ballad clip... I missed a previous thread in June (must have been on vacation)http://forum.saxontheweb.net/...Max-Ionata-AMAZING-TENOR!!...

Sure has a solid command of bop/post-bop language and great timing. Reminded me a bit of Steve Grossman on the harder edged stuff... strong young player.

Yeah, he is a great player . I'm listening to a piece right now Lode For Joe a ballad. Absolute gorgeous sound. He's the real deal.
That Pent up clip is one of my favorite You Tubes . That little club in Italy looks very cool. notice how attentive the audience is.
