What's the damage ? Post a pic .

"Eminently qualified " means....????

Any tech who enjoys and is good at body work should be able to repair any mfr's neck, unless the damage is really gnarly/tricky.

One doesn't need a 'tech guru'.

I would say someone who can blueprint the neck to the shape and dimensions as it was originally designed. Actually my tech, who is very good at dent work, is the one asking me if I know of anyone who would be qualified in this way. He was witness to the adjustments Mark Aronson did to my Super 20 bari neck and crook which solved a serious intonation problem, after he had done the dent work. Aronson knows Super 20's and had the information to return the neck to exactly its original dimensions, beyond just getting the dents out.

I haven't seen the neck, just thought I'd ask here if anyone had recommendations. I will of course give him Aronson's contact info, but I'm sure there are some other neck specialists and possibly someone who has an affinity for Martins... Thanks.

hi
at www.blazersatelier.nl (a one man company) the tech/owner is also a martin sax player.
He manufactures martin necks for which he did took his own martins as starting point.
From looking at several of these necks in his work place, i found the work and finish excellent (as well as the story that went with it.)
Perhaps you can contact him with your question or get one of these necks.
hope this helps. Luc (with this post, just endorsing "old-fashioned" craftmanship from a always helpful guy)

The people whom I would consider eminently qualified to repair any Martin neck are the Blazersatelier in Tilbug. They make any other brand too BUT they have always had a penchant for the Martin Necks. Reproducing them in a way that nobody else (that I know of) ever came close to making.
Thanks for this recommendation and I will definitely pass it on to my tech! He will be grateful as well.
