I have an old Martin tenor mouthpiece. Do you know anything about Martin mpcs? It has only name Martin engraved and one star beneath. It's hard rubber.
I don't know how to post photos here.

Dynamite,

Email your photos to me and I will post them for you.
Its the stock old martin mouthpiece. They came in different styles depending on the year of production.
I play an old martin mpc on my The Martin tenor. I love it. It was kind of funny, I went on a quest for a new mpc and then finally returned to the one that came with the horn. go figure.

You are not the only one. Although I am a devotee of Martins, and own quite a few, curiously I am lacking a Martin Tenor mouthpiece in my collection. I know that many love these MPs though, including Steve "Sarge" Stransky.

Here are a few photos of Dynamite Kid's Martin MP that he asked me to post for him. All replies will be much appreciated:

I have a '51 "My Martin Tenor" Siolver plate in ex cond. I lvoe this horn, best kept secret , oooops.. Anyhow, with all the mouthpiecesd I have found a cheap Brillhart 4* gives me full range and an easy blow too.. But as a sax player one is never "satisfied" How does the Martin Mouthpiece mentioned above play and sound, any data on anyone elses preference for a mouthpiece for this horn, ser# 176,XXX. Thanks, Bruce, NY
thanks Saxismyaxe for posting pictures of my mpc.
I was playing for last couple of months on this mpc and I like it.
It has a rich sound and it's easy to control what is important to me because I play mainly on alto and I had some problems with sound control on tenor on the begining. I play on new king IV tenor.
Currently I'm thinking about upgrading and trying to find new tenor mpc.
What you recommend for keilwerth new king IV?
I have one of these for alto and it is good. Today I was going through my tenor stash and settled on my Brilhart Tonalite (clear) in a 4*. This is for my Martin HC gold plated tenor. This combination may be the best I have had for tenor. I also really like the Rico Graphtonite. I have a B5 but I think an A5 may be better suited to the Martin. There is nothing like a Martin tenor down low.
There may be a Martin tenor mouthpiece like this on ebay as I recall.
