Dear All,

I was hoping to get an opinion on a fair (quick) sale price for a Mark VI Alto 217xxx in silver plate. In near mint / showroom condition, a couple of minor scratches and a small dent removed from bell side. Really good looking horn that could be a collectors horn also. Neck is in similar fantastic shape
No engraving, just the Selmer Paris logo on the bell version.
Ive seen modern horns that are 2 months old in worse condition.

I believe the pads are original (except 2) and it plays great (!) as is. Some what of a time capsule.

Thank you in advance!

Best,

Just saw this.

things are very different around the world. I should say that in the NL silver Mark VI are less valued (with no good reason) than gold lacquer ones but even then now it would be difficult to find any for less than €5000 which is considerably more than $4K!

I just took a look at Roberto’s and there are gold lacquers altos in the 196xxx range nearly $10k!
