Yes I've made 'em in the past--and I'm sure most of the 'big hitters' (techs!) on here have done the same. Thing is we are all a long way from Japan! OTOH There's got to be someone out there who can do it maybe Mr Yamaha or Mr Yanagasawa??
If you can source the correct diameter brass rod, then it's a case of annealing, bending and cutting the pieces to the correct shape to fit and silver soldering them all together - and better still if there's an original one to copy it from. Some parts will also need turning, but it's nothing a competent tech or metalworker can't manage.
