i was wondering if anyone would like to see the case i hand made for my Bari?

i can also attempt to give basic instructions and a reference for materials and tips if anyone wants

just as a warning if you do attempt to recreate the case, because the case is made out of 3/4in ply wood it is VERY heavy and the process of fully finishing is a multi weekend job. but then again a truck would hit it and your sax would be fine.

Barudude,

If you could post a "how to" article of sorts here, complete with photos, that would be wonderful!

I, for one, would like to see your creation. Judging by the number of inquiries regarding cases for Baritones and Bases, I am not alone in this.

Cheers.

I'd find it interesting. I've got a Martin C-melody case which is in excellent condition, considering it's 85 years old. I'm looking to re-cover it and probably line the interior with a contoured fit round the sax to replace the wood block and leather strap fittings in it now.

SassenachSax,

As a person with a good percentage of Scottish ancestry in my background, I always have a good laugh when I see your user name ;)

I have more than a few cases awaiting my renovation as well.

Cheers.
