M series question

No Worries!

If it's an 'M' series Conn, it was made in Elkhart. None of the 6M/10M/12Ms were ever made in Nogales, even if the serial number starts with 'N'. This just means it was made towards the end of the 'M' series run. Still an excellent horn and don't let anyone tell you different.

Yeah, the 10M I have has the underslung octave vent. I've never had an opportunity to try any other 10M's but I've seen a few. None with an over the top octave though.
I used to have an alto and tenor Mk 6 but sold the tenor ages ago because I never cared for the sound of it. Maybe just a dud or I didn't have the right mouthpiece for it,I dunno.I just sold the alto last year, bad financial situation. I try not to think about it or show up at jams where the guy I sold it to will be.Sigh.
