Just scored one at a great price. Not sure which era. No metal band, but stripes on the shank. It’s surprisingly versatile. I was expecting super dark, but it is capable of some brilliance when pushed. Kind of reminiscent of a lamberson j7 I stupidly let slip through my fingers. More brightness than I would imagine from such a low baffle. Blows easy and fun to play.

I know that the tenor pieces aren’t as desired as the altos. Not sure why. It’s a very nice mouthpiece. I doubt that it will replace my Morgan, but I’m still enjoying it for now.

Turns out I got a Los Angeles Diamond Series. Not well accepted since it is a composite. Probably why I got it so cheap. (<100 dollars) Also why I got no replies. Still it plays very nicely and I am enjoying it. Nice backup piece in my humble opinion.
