My band director finally decided to add an honors wind ensemble. I easily have the ability to get in, but there is one part that worries me. I need a solo audition peice for bari, that is not too difficult (most advanced piece I can play is "Car Wash" in jazz band), and still complex enough to show off with. I also unfortunately need it to be free, which is the hardest part. Any ideas?

Bach unaccompanied cello suite #2 in b minor, first movement.

If there is a music library nearby, it should be there. Just add three sharps, and play it like it's treble clef.

Unfortuantely, the nearest music library is a few hours away. Also, the Bach cello suites are a bit out of my ability. I was thinking of "The Swan", but it's a pretty simple piece.

look at this link scroll on down the web page for a bunch of baritone sax tunes. The book is a good one to have.

I JUST realized I had a perfectly good Rubank Intermediate Method book lying around. Which two contrasting etudes would you recommend out of that?
