It was great. I remember whit it was first broadcast on the BBC back in 1985. The bass certainly seems to attract eccentrics and characters !

It's good to be able to see several famous (in the UK at least) names in person, such as Harry Hayes, Harry Gold, Peter Ripper, John Barnes and Willie Garnett.

It helps that it was written and narrated by a bass saxophonist - Russell Davies, who did a great job.
