Hi,

I just bought this Evette Buffet Crampon and I have been trying to find a little more information about it.

Serial: 454 954 R.O.C (Republic of China)
Is there a site that has the serial numbers so I can work out the year?

Also why does the neck have the cut out?

Jupiter-KHS which made these stencils maybe their system works for these too but they are not terribly old (or valuable)

The neck has the cut out because under the cut there is the high F# which otherwise wouldn't fit.

THis was obviously an evolution on a design that hadn't included the high F# inn the first place.

Milandro,

Thanks for the quick response.
I bought this for $100 AUD. It is for my 8 year old daughter. She just started learning sax.
It has a couple of minor problems, which I can fix, but it plays ok.

Thanks again.

you certainly didn’t overpay.

It shows the typical lacquer damage that Jupiter of several years ago showed, will certainly work well for your daughter (provided you are able to fix whatever it is ) Good luck!
