Hello Everyone!

I have been pondering a decision for a while now and I’m stuck and hope for your guidance.

In a local music store there are two Selmer Paris Series II Alto Saxophones.

One is a PRE-Jubilee model Selmer Paris – Series II Alto Sax – Lacquer “new” for $4100.

And one is a Selmer Paris – Series II Alto Sax – Jubilee Gold Lacquer “new” for $6100.

I did some research and I believe Selmer switched to the Jubilee in 2011. So this pre-jubilee has to be hanging on the wall for at least 7 years.
For that matter the jubilee model could be up to 7 years old (or newer) itself.

I’ve read about the differences between the pre-jubilee and the jubilee models.

I checked Kessler & Sons Web site and they offer:
Selmer Paris – Series II Alto Sax – Jubilee Gold Lacquer “store used demo” for $5,999.00
Selmer Paris – Series II Alto Sax – Jubilee Gold Lacquer “new” for $6,759.00

My question is this: There are a lot of other brands and choices but between these two specifically— A.) the New PRE-Jubilee (unknown age but at least 7 years old), and B.) the New Jubilee (unknown age but no older than 7 years).....which would you choose and why? And do you think the price is fair?
