I'm in Houston, TX through this weekend, and was wondering if any SOTW members might have some suggestions where to hear jazz in Houston. I'll be in town Thursday 6/23 through Monday 6/27.

I'm playing at the Chocolate Bar in Rice Village tonight from 7-10. 2521 University Blvd.

One of the great Houston saxophonists, Woody Witt, is doing a CD release at Ovations on Friday @ 8. 2536 Times Blvd. also in Rice Village.

The best club in town for Jazz is probably Cezzane's at 4100 Montrose. On Friday they have a piano trio led by Bob Henschen and on Saturday they have saxophonist Kyle Turner who's more in the soul/R&B/smooth vein if you're into that.
