Hello!

I am looking at buying a Selmer flute, but cannot find information on it anywhere. It is stamped Selmer Silver 3321. It has a gold embouchure plate, in-line G, and a B-flat foot. Unfortunately, the shop I found it in does not allow photographs. The flute played ok but could use some routine maintenance.

Does anyone have an idea how old this thing is or what it might be worth?

It sounds like a standard US made modern flute. It would have a B- foot and not a Bb foot. Selmer didn't start making B-foot flutes until about the 1960s and the gold plated lips didn't really become the norm until the 1980s so I would put it after that. These are just OK flutes and I wouldn't pay more than about $300 if it is in good shape and not needing padwork.
