I have a friend who has a tenor saxaphone. on the bell it says The Martin Tenor Elkhart, Indiana. It has engravings also. s/n 178*** I looked at it and it needs some new pads and springs, the case is in decent shape just rough looking. I believe it is the original laquer. It has a lush gold color to it. Does anyone know about how much these saxaphones are worth.

A The Martin (committee III) is a great horn. In good condition worth between £800 - £1200 or + if it's really minty original lacquer (or the same figures in $ as they are cheaper in the US). But a good overhaul could cost you £300 - £500
