To all. I apologize if this post is in the wrong place. Meaning no disrespect to the site. I would like to sell my Tenor, and am trying to find what fair market value would be. I have not played it for about ten years, as my interest turned to Bass guitar. No need to let it sit in the closet. Onward.
The sax is a Guardala DG New York, 003727. All brass. Made in Germany. That is all I could find on the horn, and none of it means that much to me. I bought the horn used about 17 years ago, and played in a Funk band for a solid 5 years. Never had any problems with the instrument. And took good care of it. It does have a few scratches and a very small ding at the "U", but over all is in very good condition. I will also be including three mouthpieces with the sale. A Otto link, SR tech. fusion, and a Brilhart. Any advice on finding a value to place on it would be much appreciated. My local music stores are clueless, and the internet unyielding in this case. Thanks.

Yeah, you are so totally posting this in the wrong place, which is why the delayed response. Go to the saxophone makes and models category, B&S/Guardala category to learn about the history/potential value of your sax. Go to the Marketplace category, advice on buying or selling horn to find practical advice. While I could give you advice on this issue, I'm not going to give that info on this thread in order to discourage continued posting on this in the wrong category, as the guardians of the SOTW forum are trying to crack down on wrong category posts.
