I have just purchased a beautiful Linton Tenor, made in in Elkart, Ind.#18292. It has nice engraving of plant with rose. I want to learn to play it,but am curious as to it's reputation and year of manufacture.Appears to be 60's, looks great with original lacquer and newer pads. It is easy to play and sounds good. I am quite happy with the deal. Thanx for any info::? Dashawn

I worked for Linton 1971-74 and at that time we got them from France.
My dad had a Linton C flute which he purchased around that time period. It was one of the instruments that I started my love of playing woodwind instruments. My dad still has it and it was a good all around student instrument.
