Which of the six configurations do you like?
The one pictured, without any fabric flaps between the metal and the reed, and with the "slab" insert in place. Can't say I have spent a lot of effort experimenting back and forth, but this works well, secures the reed and seems the least fiddly. YMMV, I suppose.

I prefer the Versa over the Star series which came with the piece, but I haven't tried the Star with bars on the reed. I had the Versa already, so I pulled that over from my Berg and found that to do the trick for me.

I've been using the lig that comes with a Yani metal tenor piece on my DV Chi for about 10 years. Unfortunately these aren't easy to get anymore. I bought a few of them several years ago for about $35 each but I don't know if you can order them separately anymore. I don't care for fabric ligatures and like two screw metal ligs so if I were looking now I'd probably look for an Ishimori or maybe one of those Eastern Music knock-offs or something like that.
