Hi all :
Sorry if this a very "novice" question... but, is there a "recommended" position for the ligature on an Otto Link Super Tone Master ? appreciate your opinions.
Thanks

It's, mostly, a personal preference, based on reed strength & flatness of table. With a softer reed, I find, sliding it lower gives it the feeling of a stronger reed, & vice versa. That's my experience. The middle will usually cover all the bases. Experiment.

I like the lig to be secured at the centerpoint of the bark of the reed. I find that this holds the reed flat and even. At least on tenor, this is further back than you would think.

As long as it's just back a little from the window, or halfway between the end of the window (ie "start" of the table) and the end of the table.
