Hi,

Can someone, who uses Rico Metalite M5/M7 alto mouthpiece, please let me know which ligature is fully compatible with this mouthpiece? I searched but don't see Rico ligature made for this alto mouthpiece.

I use a Rico H ligature on it. Despite looking like it has a huge cross-section, the Metalites don't and just about any ligature made for a hard rubber mouthpiece will work.

I use a Rovner Dark in whatever size fits a standard alto mouthpiece.

By the way, I chat with Rovner online after seeing your response. Rovner told me Dark size 1RL is the most common fit for hard rubber alto sax mouthpieces.

Does Yamaha have a ligature for a Alto sax mouthpiece? I used a Yamaha 1665 ligature on Rico Metalite 7 M tenor mouthpiece. Kept the ligature and sold the mouthpiece.

I don't have a Metalite alto piece, but I do have a couple of Graftonites which are the same size. I like the Rico standard alto ligature on them:
