Re: Leblanc Sax Serial Number Regestry

I have just brought a Leblanc system tenor- serial number 505.
The locks on the original case are knackered. I am looking to get another case for it but it is a big sax. Can anyone let me know whether there is a modern case that this sax with fit?

My list seems to have made 1000 serial numbers plus or minus a couple.....

a reminder it can be found at

What's the highest serial number you have for a Leblanc 100 Alto? Unclear from comments section. I know the serials go up into the 15xx range, at least, from what I've encountered.

Re: Leblanc Sax Serial Number Regestry

Just arrived: Leblanc 100 serial no. 1345. saxontheweb/ebay. Thanks again, Roger D. Horn must have been a 'closet queen', it is immaculate! Going to my Tech tomorrow AM for a little tweaking and then I'm in business.

Hi,

Please allow me to add my contribution to this list:

Leblanc Le Rationnel R-62, it has the G# on the back and open Low C# tonehole, with the D trill. not the most complex versions yet i'm still figuring out all the possibilities.

best of luck in compiling this monumental list :)

interesting I never saw that before....

I have seen a Leblanc Tenor that I had assumed was a Model 120 but it had a chrome finish on the bell. Perhaps it was a Model 125.

hello all, very interesting saxes, and i'd love to get hold of a rationnel, but what I do have are a leblanc system (I suppose) alto - NO high g# - but adjustment screws and locking screws for the adjustment screws (good grief). the front f is a tiny little silvered sliver. serial 235 in lacquer and nickle. AND a vito 35 (alto) in lacquer with almost no engraving - all adjustments done with cork, like a saxophone. this is definitely a beaugnier, but probably assembled in USA. both really good saxes - the vito is rather warmer, and the necks are NOT interchangeable, the vito is a wider bore. vito serial 2535A. no real idea as to the dates involved, I bought them both this year. does anyone else have knowledge of a leblanc with no high g#? the vito has one in that peculiar and difficult place above the little finger table.
