Late Bloomer’s First Arrangement.

One of the interesting things about being in a big band with a large folder is that you get the opportunity to play arrangements in so many different styles.

I have done my first ever big-band arrangement, of Duke Ellington’s “I’m Beginning to See the Light”

I started out with the idea of a Buddy Rich style version, it turned out more like Ziggy Elman!!

The mp3 is available at:

For saxophone parts in pdf:

1st alto part at:
http://www.mosabackabigband.com/Music/IBTSTLv5 Alto 1.pdf

1st tenor part at:
http://www.mosabackabigband.com/Music/IBTSTLv5 Tenor 1.pdf

Baritone part at:

Enjoy. Feedback appreciated:)

Nice. I like it. You might consider walking that bass.
I wanted the first 16 bars to be as legato as possible, hence the half notes for bass, which starts to walk from bar 17 onwards.
