makes you wonder how little they paid for it in the first place since , after all the work done, this kitsch contraption now costs $200

Never played one in good condition, have you? Nothing like people spouting off about things they don't know anything about.
I worked in a music store for a while. There’s was a nice pile of them in the basement. The repair guy would drag one up every once in a while and get it to play as well as possible. The student Bundys and Yamahas outplayed any of them.
I’m old. I’ve played a lot of different saxes.
There’s a difference between vintage and just plain old.
