This one took a while to get down. Here's another very cool track by Euge Groove that I have the backing for by Martin Funderburk. It's a different slant on it for sure but I've tried to stay faithful to the overall vibe. https://soundcloud.com/alex-nyman-759436259%2Fmy-project always very happy if you have a minute or two to spare to listen. Thanks. Alex

Thank you Michael.
During lunch time I listened your music played in an another room. Had very very good feeling knowing that it is not renowned musician but sounds like renowned.

Thanks so much Mark. Much appreciated. Yes it's amazing that Steve (Euge) took the time to listen and comment and I'm sincerely humbled by that I can assure you. Kind regards, Alex

Steve has always made himself very accessible for everyone. He’s one of those super humble guys who is a real musician inside and out. Very kind, and I think it’s really cool to have guys like that on this site.

I couldn't agree more Mark. And just to add that having a highly respected industry professional as you are offering your input/thoughts etc to threads is equally appreciated I'm sure by all. Now about that name change......... :) Alex

Very nice.
I’m not a smooth jazz guy even though I definitely appreciate that people like any kind of instrumental music.
I met Steve when he dropped in on my organ trio at my steady Thursday night gig. Great guy. I thought it was funny when he said his wife, who was with him, like straight ahead jazz more.
He said he was planning a gig here and asked if we’d open for him. I guess I’ll have to break out my jazz versions of Motown for that one.

Thanks Whaler. I think as far as genres are concerned I personally just try to approach each one with care and consideration for its past and its potential future be it Smooth Jazz, Bop, Funk, Free Jazz etc its all music to me and deserves the very best one can offer.
I hope you get the opportunity to open for him and tell us about it maybe when you do.
Kind regards, Alex

She's a much classier person than me for sure! What can I say. That trip was a blast all the way around. Louisville is an amazing town. I never thought I'd be sitting in a speak easy listening to a great organ jazz trio when we took the trip. I saw your name in a music guide in the hotel and recognized it from SOTW and knew we had to go. You guys were so much fun to listen to. And I actually mean listen. It was a fairly quiet intimate place with reservations only. Very cool. And yes, if it were not for Covid, we would be seeing each other this summer on the stage. The festival has been moved to 2021. So hopefully we'll see you then.

Wow! I loved it. Very beautiful playing. I could listen to this for hours as I just relax. The soloing was so tastefully done. Great sense of harmony and phrasing.

Side note, Euge Groove came to play in Charleston, South Carolina and we actually got to play on the same festival / Open (kind of) for him. I used to play saxophone with Charlton Singleton's group and we played an act or two before him. We also did that when Marcus Miller came to town, but now I can't remember if Marcus and Euge were the same year or not? It's all running together, but either way, I was really impressed by Euge's playing and show. It was certainly GROOVIN!!!! I remember that much 100% :)

Of course we're still on hold for the small venues but Derby is on.
Expect to see a spike in Covid in addition to the liver problems brought on by two weeks of parties leading up to it.
Hope to see you again!
