it says A880 clear as day under the serial number...

what is that??? logic tells me that would be soprano sax!!!!

..i just checked wikipedia...it IS in fact an octave above!!!!! is that what it means on this horn??

nope A438 is low pitch...that would be A876

Someone much more knowledgeable than I will tell us, but it's another way of saying that it is in fact tuned to A=440.
