Hi all

Anyone can tell where the Modern Kohlert Saxophones are being manufactured? I'm looking at a Baritone now, but I'm really a Selmer Paris kind of guy, but had to sell my SA 80 II Bari to grab a 114XXX MK VI alto that's a match set for my Mk VI 114XXX tenor. Thanks... So, I'm looking for a moderate priced bari for now and this one looks to be in my range... now, I got to get some feed back as to play-ability and if the baritone is worth purchasing at about 2,000.00 for a brand new one.

I believe Taiwan when they started “re-using” the Kohlert name 10+ years ago. If they followed the path of Prestini and others, probably China today.

Thanks ... Yes, they are being manufactured in China. Quality wise is my next question. Seen that they go for at 4,400.00, but may be a bait and switch tactic...
