Is this neck a prototype or is it out on the market? Anyone seen and played one?
Interesting that it is still stamped as the Super VI. I was thinking that this also looks like the neck brace that Theo Wanne tried on the Mantra tenors, but the solder/weld points are more centered on the Mantra and this crazy Mauriat model has dual braces. This has been on their site for a quite a long while but I haven's seen it for sale anyplace. Doesn't look like this has been updated in any way for months: http://www.pmauriatmusic.com/us/news/2-products-news/358-kirk-whalums-customized-silver-plated-neck-

I really much prefer the look of the original Super VI and don't like the looks of that huge brace. That's just me.
