A guy has a naked chick engraved on his saxophone? Who would have imagined such a thing?
True dat. After all, the history of art is dominated by nudes. That and religious icons. I'm actually surprised there aren't more devotional engravings on horns--though personally, I prefer the nudes.

That’s a great looking horn, and a reasonable price in today’s market. I’d be interested in it if it didn’t look like someone I know (someone other than my wife).

How would I explain that?

Maybe I'm just feeble-minded, but I have to ask: what is that purple wash or area over part of the engraving? It doesn't seem to be a shadow or reflection (I do see the dark shadow of the stand though). The purple area almost looks like a thin transparent covering.

Maybe the guy's wife was pissed, so he had to put something on to cover her up.

Looks like plastic film that makes the engraving more visible and easier to photograph, just slapped on. Pretty good idea, engravings are hard to take photos of, and it certainly seems to increase contrast. I don't buy it being just a reflection, because the wrinkles/bubbles visible.

That being said, I find the engraving of poor taste, definitely a ruined axe and an environmental hazard. To avoid further damage, best course of action is to immediately send the sax to me... for... safe... disposal..

I'd still like to see it without the purple film, which is how it will look in 'real life.'

Great work, Jason!
