Key of F b flat

I am trying to learn saxophone on my own using the book Elementary Method.

But I am not sure what it means when the book states in key of F b flat.

Does that mean it’s a new scale ? Or I am playing all the notes in flat?

I agree it best to see the actual language, but it sounds like it might be saying that in the key of F, there is one flat note, which is a B flat.

The notes in the key of F Major being: F G A Bb C D E.

That would be my guess, particularly in an elementary method book.

EDIT: The only sax method book I know of or could otherwise find with "Elementary Method" in its name is Rubank.

Could this be what you were referring to?
