As a favor I am looking at a sax for a friend to try and repair its deficiencies.
It has some loose pads and plays with difficulty.

It is built like a tank but has little going for it in sound and playability.
The neck is so thick, I believe you could do pull ups off it with no chance of damaging it. I suspect that is the reason it plays poorly among other things.

Were Kent saxes made by a reputable company as a stencil of something in the 70's or are they really not worth even re-padding? :?

It is sturdy, so as a first line of defense in a street brawl I would choose this over a Selmer, however it seems to have difficulty playing C# up an octave.:x
