Hey everyone! More time at home means more writing, arranging, and recording music for you to enjoy. Here is a collaboration featuring Ben Tweedt on keyboard, Mike Noordzy on bass, Dominic Palombi on drums, and myself on saxophone playing the Kenny Rogers classic "Through the Years." Hope you enjoy it!

That was really beautiful, Dave! The band sounds great and that’s a really nice tribute to someone we lost last week. I bet he would’ve loved that! Thank you for always putting a smile on our faces!

Thanks so much!! It's such a great tune, and I didn't want to mess with it too much.

I am becoming Pollack's addict...
After many alto diamonds … suddenly melting tenor.

Real pleasure music can give!

Brilliant.

Outstanding reharmonization and just amazing playing as always Dave. I really love the pianist’s touch and feel too.
I can almost hear a little bit of “Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas” in there. Ojalá we will be past the worst of this by then.

Very sweet and tasteful.
Great ensemble, who laid down the first track?
Thanks! I first made a "practice" track of bass and piano, then recorded the sax part. Then sent that to mike to record bass, then Dom for the drums, then finally to Ben for the keys part.

For jazz songs where there's a lot of interaction in the solos, I always record the people that will be soloing first, then have bass/drums/keys (if not soloing) record. But for a more pop tune like this I did it a bit differently.

Thanks so much! Ben is a really great player in all different styles.
