Karolina Strassmayer deserves her own thread of recognition.

My goodness, what a great, beefy sound on alto! No surprise then, that she cites Cannonball Adderley among her influences.

Interview here: https://www.dansr.com/vandoren/reso...lks-saxophone-mountain-climbing-and-adventure

And here is her personal website: http://karolinastrassmayer.com/

I especially commend her video regarding a Personal Sound:

P.S. For you technique heads, notice the position of her mouthpiece on the cork - interesting to consider how that correlates to her HUGE sound.

Interesting but not something we can discuss without knowing how far the end of the cork is from the 8va pip. Based on the Mark 6 alto neck I have (hybrid on my conn 26m), I'd guess her cork is short and they tune in about the same spot.
