First off, this is the coolest looking mouthpiece ever, when I put it on my Indiana it looked so cool; an old beat-up sax with a bright clear blue mouthpiece - like a fusion of old and new.
It played very well, great response and pop and lots of color. However, I felt my Tonalin had a more fat, vintage sound with a tad more center/core and just seemed to be more my sound concept (especially with a vandoren 3 reed.) But it may have been better with a Rover dark ligature, I think, and some more reed experimentation. The sound of the Runyon was a little reminiscent of Art Pepper.
I was asked to post some sound clips comparing them, I will try to do that later and post it.
---oops, shouldn't this be in the runyon subforum?
