Hello all! Just happy as a clam now that I have new Tenor Sax! I did a LOT of research to find a horn that " spoke" to me and I have settled on a beautiful Schiller American Heritage 400 Tenor in Black Nickel/ Silver finish. It looks great and sounds fantastic! Just what I was looking for! I'm going for that Dexter Gordon sound!!! Dark and smokey! Like all the dive bars I've been in!!!

Welcome. Lots to learn here.

I’ll be interested in your thoughts about your Schiller. I explored their website. They make some very good looking saxes. I especially liked the black nickel one with the engraving around the rim of the bell.

Hi. I just took delivery of my Schiller American Heritage 400 Tenor. I LOVE THIS HORN! The Black Nickel finish is STUNNING! I almost hate to touch for fear that I'll put finger prints all over it!!! It sounds fantastic, free easy blowing, the keys are perfect. This is my first sax and it surprised me that is was Heavy. Not bodybuilder weight heavy, but it has a " comfortable down home" weight! Solid buy. I'm glad I pulled the trigger and bought it. I expect to play this horn for decades to come!!!
