I've added a couple of vintage German instruments to the collection recently, a Kohlert Winnedon Tenor and a LUXOR (Welklang) Soprano.

strange, Luxors are generally not made in East Germany they are made in Romania, by Arta Guban Timis , they certainly resemble some Weltklang parts (or they may have boght that from weltklang).

Luxor Tenor and Altos are certainly of their own design but maybe this horn of yours was commissioned.

I found a video on line of a luxor soprano

indeed but so will be all those theater and cinemas in the world :bluewink:

A name like this is not really unique ( Like Royal or other such common names)

I have indeed seen some Luxors on line which were indeed Weltklang , but the majority of Luxors that I have seen were certainly made by Arta Guban Timis

This one is a Weltklang made Luxor tenor

this one is a Romanian made one
