TCM is running a 40-film series on Jazz in Film, and Kevin Whitehead has a new book on the topic: https://www.wbgo.org/post/tcm-series-and-new-book-celebrate-expansive-pleasures-jazz-movies

Icing on the cake: Eddie Muller is hosting. I love his work on Noir Alley.

John Cassavetes' Shadows with a soundtrack by Mingus - great movie.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m definitely going to be recording some of these.
Yeah. Not all the movies are gonna be winners.
that's why I'm fast forwarding through a lot of the dialog scenes. The Sammy davis Jr movie, i found very hard to watch but the music scenes were very good. The Man I love was actually a pretty good film. So is Young man with a Horn with Kirk Douglas.
