I've always had a soft spot for late-period Coltrane. It was the first Trane I ever really got into, starting with Living Space and Interstellar Space. Only later did I start getting into the Prestige and Atlantic recordings. Five stars!

I am always filled with gratitude to be able to hear this music: from Gods mouth to my ears.

And please, don't all you trigger-happy SOTWers jump on me: I'm not saying Trane was God; I am saying he was gifted with the ability to connect to an amazing well of sound, and express it with incredible aesthetics and authenticity.

Tim, thanks for the post: great way to start the day.

At the 7:45 mark I was grinning from ear to ear, by 8:05 I was laughing out loud. What a great piece of music! I had this on vinyl back in the late sixties and wore it out. Thanks Tim.

I started out listening to him on My Favorite Things, A Love Supreme, Interstellar Space and Sun Ship.
