I wanted some inspiration to start 2020 off on so I transcribed a Joel Frahm lick to get the blood pumping! This is from a Facebook video where Joel is trying out a TT tenor mouthpiece and is a killin' line in my humble opinion! Check it out!

He really is a monster player. They used to call him the Frahminator. I know guys who have worked with him and they have nothing but good things to say.

Yeah, every time I see a video, I think I have to transcribe it! He is the quote master as well and the nicest guy from my online communications with him.......

Joel Frahm is a monster player and a very nice guy ... and also a mouthpiece freak, I think :)
It's a shame he doesn't record more CDs. I own everything that he recorded under his own name and also several albums where he plays as a sideman. One of today's best of the best.

John, I know you know this, but it's not the mouthpiece........(it does sound darn good though.........)
Man, isn't that the truth! I was just curious as I've never heard of "TT/Tommaso" or his 'pieces before. Since you and I have known each other, I've played on a total of TWO different mouthpieces, but Lord knows I've tried a bunch since. I still have my old NY ToneMaster that I played back in school and have now been on Sakshama's "Shorty" (Dukoff Stubby copy) for about 5-6 yrs now. I still have many other Links in my mouthpiece drawer and as I'm sure you do, every once in a while I'll dig 'em out and play each one for about 30 minutes. I then promptly go back to my Shorty (one of 3 I have) and say to myself "yeah, that's the one".
It's a never ending cycle......haha!
