Jody Jazz spoilers

Hi Guys Im going to ask something that you may or may not feel to be a silly thing ,but I have a jody jazz ESP Alto,with spoiler.I just wanted to know if any one of you have ever played about with the metal reed on the spoiler ? as in bending it diffrent in shape to as it was when you got it, and if so what was the result ? to the sound? hope this dont sound to silly to ask.
