I've ordered two copies of Jimmy Heath's autobiography I Walked With Giants from two separate sellers, and neither copy came with a dust cover and didn't look like the stock photo of the book from the listings. Did this book originally come with a dust jacket? Surely a publisher wouldn't send out a white hardcover without a dust jacket. Even remainder and "bargain" books tend to have them. Am I the only person OCD enough about my book collection to care?

My copy came with a dust jacket, I think I ordered it on Amazon a couple years ago. In this interview you can see a few copies on the table with the original jacket which is the one I have - has the yellow spine and picture of him conducting on the front. I'm not sure why yours wouldn't unless it was specified, did you contact the sellers?

Yeah, I emailed the first one to see if they had the cover available since their listing said they had a few more "Brand New" copies. No dice. Returned. I asked the second seller before buying, but they couldn't confirm one way or the other because something about their offices not being in the same place as the warehouse. My thought to that was, "Well, can you email the warehouse?" but bought it (also listed as Brand New) anyway because they also allow returns, so I figured I could return it if I need to.

Now I've emailed Temple University Press (the publisher) to see if there's any way to order just the dust jacket. If not, the second copy will be returned and I'll keep looking. This should not be this difficult.
