Whatever he plays he's a fantastic player with a beautiful sound, and comes out with interesting musical ideas.
I've got 2 of his CD's.
I am surprised that he is not talked about more often in this forum.

Yeah great player with an intense sound. He just needs to refrain from talking during interviews.

I just bought his trio CD "Victory" ... it's real good.. great trio concept. His sound/feel reminds me of Trane at times..

I will definitely check him out.
I liked the previews I heard on Amazon.

Tenor Hack is right on: his horn is a Couf Royalist. I had a chat with him after a concert he did with the Jeremy Pelt Quintet. He uses a Vandoren HR V16 on it.
