Personally - I think this (above) is absolutely gorgeous - even if he is playing a selmer. I was skulking around the Internet looking for references to Kay Siebold's (Hamburg, Germany) mouthpieces when I uncovered the video above. What's your thoughts on the players take on Bach?

Ok I'll reignite this thread. I would love to play a Heritage as the player is using in the clip above. Having now finally, after close to a 12 month covid inspired delay, received my Kay Siebold refaced Berg Larcen alto mouthpiece. The BL was playing pretty decently when I got it but the side rails were asymmetrical and the tip rail was obviously not uniform. It appeared as someone with little to no experience in facing work made attempts to modify it. Kay was initially concerned that the rectification would necessitate a considerable increase in tip opening but he managed to keep it modest. 10 seconds playing was all it took for me to realise what voodoo he had enacted upon the abused Berg. Its plays wonderfully without requiring too much air or diaphragmatic support and projects well with a rich subtly dark tonal character. The mouthpiece was wrapped in a soft polishing cloth, placed into a plastic bag, packaged into mouthpiece box and shipped in the same carton I had used to ship it to him. I am one very happy and impressed fella right now :)
