Close to you is:
Tula's - the best small bar "local spot" where players go to hang and jam.
Jazz Alley is the flashy big big name spot. Show depends on who they have touring though and how much you want to pay for dinner/drinks.
Triple Door is a really great sounding space with perfect lines of sight and awesome food. They program all kinds of music so check calendar for details before heading there.
Further flung but worth the trip:
The Royal Room - Owned by pianist Wayne Horvitz and home to some of the most adventurous and challenging jazz in Seattle.
Also check out the Earshot Jazz calendar listings online. That publication is the central wire for all things jazz around here.
Enjoy your visit. It's a great time of year to see Seattle!
