Anyone know how to reach him?
Does he still do reface work?
I believe he is on here from time to time, but don't know his tag.

I just got a mouthpiece from him six months ago. Thing is, he’s super busy with being Professor of Saxophone at CCM. I don’t know how much side work he’s takkng

Found him, thanks.
By the way, he is taking refacing work.
I think his facings are excellent.

I agree about his excellent work. I have 3 Bunte mpcs at the moment. Beautiful tone and easy to play!

Just an FYI, if you are going to him for a classical refacing, I know a person who does it quite well and the turnaround time is one day for me so far on three mouthpieces. This is *ONLY* for classical sax or clarinet, not jazz...
One day turnaround time is quite light speed isn’t it?

Its about my speed.Sometimes 2 or 3 days. People like their toys and I prefer not holding on to them.Ive never seen James's work but I imagine its good...because Ive never seen it!

I haven't seen a sig on any of his pieces that I have played..........
I have a few of his pieces. They are all marked with a lower case j with a hump in the back of the j which makes a b, and then the tip opening. I took a photo, but it is very difficult to see because the markings are very light. This one says jb .104

Hmmmm, maybe my pieces have that and I missed it. I'll check them out. Thanks

I have both signed and unsigned pieces that I got directly from James. His work is outstanding, whether it is for a jazz or classical mouthpiece.
