Everything from the players-song picks- solos- band empathy- and the hip cover this is one of my favs of Jackie. ALL THE WAY.

Think you really hit the nail on the head, I need to listen to more Jackie for sure. To think how into Bird he was, yet so very early had a totally personal and distinctive approach to his music. Focus and intensity. And, a sound like no other.

Nice! I'm getting into Jackie's work.
I only knew his compositions from other artists; not his playing.

Picking up 'Demon's Dance' album today :)

Any fans of Jackie's duo w/ Michael Carvin "Antiquity"? I saw them perform back in the golden ages at the Keystone Korner and it was some of the most thrilling and involving music I ever heard.

That's it!! You can hear what a deep connection with the drums Jackie has, their playing together sounds so complete.

Woody sounds killer on this record! I think this is the recording of Jack I've heard too.....
