This is a site dedicated to the history of the Italian woodwinds (and also brass I gather) created by Mr. Francesco Carreras, unfortunately, although featuring an English button most of the entries are in Italian but I guess yuo might use one of the many translation pages on the internet.

http://www.italianwinds.it/index.php?lang=_en

you have to be a member to be able to consult most of its archive and some things ,like the documents in the collection, are not actually visible on line but I still think this is a very interesting resource.

well..........there are many Italians in Germany but many of them (second or third generation) have only a knowledge of spoken Italian rather than of the written language..........if you need any help, please feel free to ask :) ;)
