Hi, all,
Can I send on some photos of a Couesnon in a shop near me. Maybe it is not as odd as I think- it has as you see only one pad on the noticeably short bell, and the neck looks stubby. Any info would be appreciated.......... polenta.

Don't buy this for a player. Collector maybe. It looks like a pre-1920s horn, has the outdated double octave keys and, as you noticed, no low Bb. Nice silver plate though.

Polenta, how much do they want for the other horn, the Rampone?

£165.00. -the shop owner can be contacted at [email protected].
It has it's original case, though I have not seen it....... polenta.
Actually, Randall, the shop has five ancient silverplate altos in the window. Didn't take a note of the others (except that one is a Hawkes and sons- I can just read "Invicta"). I understand that it was a job lot of TWELVE assorted!!!!!- probably a house clearance.
